Several faculty affiliated with the Barshop Institute are working on research concerning regenerative medicine and stem cells. The aims of these studies are to develop new methods to use stem cells for healing organs and tissues that have been damaged by aging and age-related diseases. Related studies are aimed at understanding changes in the stem cells in the body during aging.
